Elisha Hoopes, son of Nathan Hoopes, was born in Goshen 10 Oct 1765. I know he married Mary Hayworth. I am descended from his son Jonathan Hoopes Sr. I find no record of his marriage, the birth of Jonathan, or of when he left Goshen to move to Columbiana County, Ohio. I found a land record in Lisbon, Ohio where Elisha purchased land in 1817. When did he leave Pennsylvania? What did he do for a living in Pennsylvania? What Quaker sect did he belong to?
